Linking digital auscultation technology to promote medical DX.
ShareMedical Inc. (HQ: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Keishin Mine) has signed a basic agreement with AMI Inc. (HQ: Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture; Head office: Minamata City, Kumamoto Prefecture; CEO: Shinpei Ogawa) for a business alliance aimed at developing remote auscultation using digital auscultation technology.

Purpose and content of the business alliance
The medical field in Japan faces a number of challenges, including disparities in regional healthcare, reforms to doctors' working practices, and measures to combat infectious diseases. Particularly in rural, medically underpopulated areas, access to quality medical care continues to be restricted due to difficulties for elderly people to visit hospitals and the shortage and uneven distribution of doctors. Against this background, telemedicine using digital technology is becoming increasingly important.
ShareMedical Inc. has been promoting the digitalization of ‘auscultation’ in remote auscultation through the development and provision of the digital auscultation device ‘Nexstetho.’ Through this alliance with AMI, the two companies will combine their technologies to realize a more advanced and convenient remote auscultation system. This will help to eliminate regional disparities in access to medical care and enable applications in advanced medical care such as cardiac disease diagnosis.

We have been working on the digitization of healthcare based on our vision of ‘connecting the desire to help with the power of IT to help’, and we are very pleased that our partnership with AMI will further improve the quality of telemedicine and contribute to solving the social problem of under-population of healthcare in rural areas. We are confident that by combining the technologies of both companies, we will deliver high-quality healthcare to more people than ever before.

Establishing cooperation with ShareMedical Inc. is the first step towards realizing the Auscultation DX, bringing together what we can do from our respective standpoints, and working together to move forward. We hope that this will enhance the value of telemedicine and help to solve problems in many clinical settings in the future. We will move forward hand in hand with the development of the industry as a whole.
